TRIAX-0.5
Each vial contains:
Ceftriaxone Sodium IP
Equivalent to Ceftriaxone 0.5gm
Water for injection IP 5ml
TRIAX-3
Each vial contains:
Ceftriaxone Sodium IP
Equivalent to Ceftriaxone 3gm
Water for injection IP 20ml
TRIAX-1
Each vial contains:
Ceftriaxone Sodium IP
Equivalent to Ceftriaxone 1.0gm
Water for injection IP 10ml
TRIAX-4
Each vial contains:
Ceftriaxone Sodium IP
Equivalent to Ceftriaxone 4gm

MODE OF ACTION: Bactericidal in action, ceftriaxone inhibits the nucleopeptide synthesis in the bacterial cell wall.
Advantages: Triax is bactalactamase stable and has the excellent ability to penetrate the cell wall. The plasma half life is longer (about 11 hours). Triax diffuses into all body fluids uniformly. Triax extensively binds it self to plasma proteins. Excretion by renal and non-renal (bile) facilitates a double absorption.
Spectrum of Activity:
Gram -ve organisms: E.coli, psudomonas spp, several penicillinase and non penicillinase producing organisams.
Gram +ve organisms: Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus pyogenes, Staphylococcus agalactiae, dysyalactiae.
INDICATIONS: Respiratory tract infections, urogenital tract infections, Mastitis, Meningitis, Skin and soft tissue infections.
Dosage and Administration: 5 to 6 mg/kg body weight IM or IV
